My dining experience at Ristorante Bologna is always a good one - thanks to Chef Patron Carlo Marengoni and his team of chefs (of course, not forgeting Chef Jupiter).
Chef Carlo, an extremely shy and humble italian, always ensures that his guests get great service and also excellent food. So, when I had to bring 2 of my colleagues out for lunch, I decided immediately on Ristorante Bologna. I knew for a fact that Chef Carlo would not disappoint me. And I was right!
Chef Carlo arranged for 4 different types of antipasti. My favourite was the Felino Salami (This salami has its origins in Felino, Italy in the central Emilia Romagna region. To prepare this salami requires specific cuts of pork.) I enjoyed the Parma Ham (Prosciutto di Parma), too. My colleagues liked the fried chicken, which was very tender and juicy (even though it's fried).

While I was enjoying my lunch, I was pleasantly surprised to see my neighbour in the restaurant. Little did I know that she's the Director of Sales in Marina Mandarin Hotel. Small world. She offered me and my guests some wine, which we had to politely refuse because we all had official meetings to attend after lunch (even though it was a friday and would have been a perfect way to end off the lunch session). I must say that it was extremely nice of her to offer.
My guests enjoyed the lunch and they had a very good impression of the restaurant and the hotel. All thanks to the great hospitality of the chefs and hotel staff.
